Meehan (Lisnagree, Poyntzpass)

Hi James. Pleased to meet you. My name is Moira Maginn.  My maiden name was Meehan.  …daughter of John and Mary Meehan.  I remember clearly my grandmother Mary Ellen speaking lovingly about her 3 siblings James, Pat-Joe and John all in USA from a young age. She was so proud of them and wrote to them all the years. So in your email you said you were 9 years old in 1967 well I was 23 then. Love the photo you sent Columba. Peter and Maureen were distant relatives of mine (if I recall correctly, Peter’s mother was my paternal grandfather’s sister), and they were very kind to nine-year-old me and my parents when we came from America to visit in 1967.  Going through my late parents’ stuff recently, I came across some photos of their return visit to us in New Jersey. I would love to share them with the family if anyone could get in touch.  I am so sorry for your loss; she was a grand woman.
