Death Notice
Murtagh (Newry) Gerard died February 18th 2025 peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Hilda R.I.P. and devoted father of Sean, Emma, Ciarán, Cheryl and Conor.
His remains will repose at his late residence, 37 Ballinlare Gardens, today (Wednesday) for family only and tomorrow (Thursday) from 1pm until 9pm for anyone wishing to pay their respects. Requiem Mass for Gerard will take place in St. Brigid's Church, The Meadow, on Friday at 10.30am, burial afterwards in Monkshill cemetery.
Our Lady Queen of The Most Holy Rosary pray for him.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons, daughters, son-in-law Conor, daughter-in-law Catherine, grandchildren Noah, Cían, Charlie, Molly and Charlotte, also his sisters Lilian, Veronica and Ita, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle.
