Death Notice
Rooney (Newry) died 11th July 2024, peacefully at his home 21 Chapel Hill, Newry. Joe R.I.P. Husband of Sheila and much loved father of Cora, Shauna, Gerard, Elaina, Róisín and Sinéad. Brother of Kevin, Christine, Mary and the late John, Seamus & Oliver.
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
His remains will repose at his home from 5pm today until removal on Saturday at 10.30am for 11am funeral mass in St Mary’s Church. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, son, daughters, sons-in-law & daughter-in-law John, Duncan, Richard, Brian & Karen, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, grandchildren Joseph, Kieran, Maible, Patrick, Mary, Meabh, Ailis, Oonagh, Eimear, Rohan, Sarah & Francis, cousins, nephews, nieces, family circle & friends.
