Write a commentArson is suspected following a fire in the early hours of Friday morning at flats in the Talbot Street area of Newry.
Three men escaped from the property but one of the men requiring hospital treatment for smoke inhalation.
It is believed that two fires were started in communal areas of the building which contains three flats at around 1.30am.
Firefighters extinguished the fire, which left extensive smoke and scorch damage to the property. Police are appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact CID in Newry on the non emergency number 101 quoting reference number 78180714.
