On Saturday 10th May, it was reported that bank cards were stolen in the Quay's area. It is believed that a sum of money was withdrawn from an account on Thursday 15th May. On Saturday 17th May, it was reported that a similar incident occured when a card was used to purchase items in Belfast and Newry. Enquiries are continuing.
Police would appeal to anyone who is a victim of this activity to contact their bank and to report the incident to police on the new non-emergency number 101.
