Write a commentDetectives in Newry are appealing for information following a robbery that occurred in the Forkhill Road area on the afternoon of Friday 4 April.
A 56 year old man was approached in the street by five men, all aged in their early 20s. One of the men was armed with a hammer and told the man to get on the ground. Another of the young men took the man's mobile phone and wallet out of his pocket. They made off with a sum of cash in a black Honda Civic.
The 56 year old man was not injured in the incident but was left shocked.
