Write a commentOfficers in Newry arrested a 41 year old male on Saturday, 5 January after recovering a quantity of herbal cannabis. Around 1.15pm officers observed a male close to The Quays and stopped and searched him.
A bag of herbal cannabis was found on the ground close by. The man was arrested for possession of class B drugs and possession of class B drugs with intent to supply. He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
