Write a commentTwo arrests have been made and a quantity of heroin seized from a vehicle in Poyntzpass this afternoon Tuesday.
The heroin with an estimated street value of £10,000 was recovered after police stopped a car on the Church Street area of Poyntzpass.
A 40 year old female and 49 year old male have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A controlled drug, possessing a class A controlled drug with intent to supply and importation of a class A controlled drug and are currently in police custody.
Commenting on the operation Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said: “This operation is yet another example of our determination to reduce the availability of this killer drug and I appeal to anyone who has any concerns or information about illegal drugs to contact their local Police on the non-emergency number 101."
