Write a commentA 25 year old man has been charged with possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply and possessing fireworks without a licence. He is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates Court on Wednesday 23 May.
The charges are in connection with a proactive search of a house in O’Donoghue Park area of Bessbrook yesterday, Wednesday 25, by detectives from Criminal Investigations Branch organised crime unit.
Approximately £1500 of suspected cocaine and a number of fireworks were seized during the search.
Detective Inspector Millar said: “We are committed to tackling the issue of drugs and would appeal to the public to speak to us if they have any concerns or information regarding drugs in their area.
