Newry Cruise raised £800 for Southern Area Hospice earlier this month at their Ignition 247 Event at Damolly Retail Park.
Organised in partnership with Newry and Mourne PSNI and Connect III, the event saw over 800 modified and performance cars in attendance with more than 1000 people.
The PSNI brought along their new modified R32 Golf which demonstrated how your car can be legally modified. The R32 was funded through Peace III.
NIFRS were also in attendance and demonstrated how victims of a traffic collision have to be cut out.
Constable Kenny Gracey, Newry Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "We have worked alongside Ignition 247 on a number of events and the car cruises seem to be growing in popularity. It is invaluable in helping us build relationships with young drivers and those who want to make their car their own while staying within the law.
"It was also a great opportunity to raise some money for the local hospice which makes such a difference to the lives of so many in this area."
Ignition 247 expressed their thanks to all who attended and took part in the cruise with special thanks to Newry and Mourne PSNI, Connect III, Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, Craven Recovery and Gerard Rice, Director of Around A Pound.
