Police in Newry have charged a 23 year old man with driving whilst disqualified, dangerous driving, no insurance, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drug with intent to supply. He is due to appear at Newry MC this morning ( Friday 5th April ). As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS. It is believed the incidents are connected.
