PSNI have arrested A 16 year old male and 18 year old male after a car was observed driving erratically on Sugar Island in Newry during the early hours of Sunday morning past. The car was found to have been stolen in Dundalk.
The 18 year old male was charged with allowing himself to be carried, going equipped for theft, handling property stolen in the Republic of Ireland and possession of an offensive weapon.
The 16 year old male was charged with dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, failing to stop, handling property stolen in the Republic of Ireland, possession of Class B drugs and driving with no insurance.
They both appeared before Newry Magistrates' Court yesterday.
