St John Bosco GFC held their annual presentation night in the clubrooms on Saturday 16th February
Cathaoirleach Joe Ryan addressing a packed Cusack Lounge congratulated the seniors on their achievements during the 2012 season and wished them the best for the Golden Jubilee year stating ‘2012 proved to be a great year for the seniors with only a kick of the ball between winning the championship against St Peters. 2013 is our Golden Jubilee Year and I truly believe that you our senior squad have the potential to achieve more and build on last season’s success.’
Senior Manager Raymond Tumilty thanked the 2012 management panel for their hard work and support throughout the year especially singling out Brian Irwin for praise as he takes a step back from the management team in 2013. His position is ably filled by Davy Doyle who captained the last St John Bosco senior team to championship victory. Raymond stated ‘as a club we have taken huge strides over the last few years and the senior team is developing into a championship winning unit. Can I ask all players to step up to the challenge and ensure that we lift the championship trophy in our Jubilee Year!’
