St John Bosco U16 Girls
St John Bosco vs St Mary’s Burren Friday 16th May 2014
The Bosco U16 girls went into this match with Burren on the back of three straight victories and missing some key players but this was always going to be their biggest test. The first half was dominated by Burren but the Bosco girls kept in touch with two well taken goals from Dearbhala Quinn and Aoibheann Quinn to leave the half time score 2:07 to 2:00
In the second half the superior fitness of this well drilling Burren team proved decisive and they were always comfortable. The Bosco team did play some good passing football but their inability to convert scores was costly. The Bosco added a further seven points with the best a point from Orlagh Burke from a tight angle.
Final Score Bosco 2:07 Burren 4: 17
The girls remain in second place in the league and now have a break due to exams with their next game on Sunday 29th June away to Rostrevor.
