The Canal Court Hotel have again put pen to paper to sponsor the Down GAA machine for the next three years.

The contract was signed today by John McParland of the Canal Court and Seamus Walsh, Chairman of the Down County Board at a function in the Hotel where the new jerseys were unveiled adorned with their new Canal Court Hotel and Spa Logo.

Speaking at the function Seamus said "On behalf of Coiste Contae an Duin I am delighted to welcome you all here today as we prepare to launch the new Down Sponsorship deal for 2013-14 and 15. We are extremely pleased to once again be here in the Canal Court Hotel announcing that going forward the name of Canal Court Hotel and Spa will be the logo adorning Down GAA Jerseys from our Under 15 Development Squads through to our Senior Teams in Football and Hurling, for the next three years."

"We see this new sponsorship deal being a partnership between the family that is Down GAA and the McParland family and their Hotels the Canal Court and the Carrickdale. We look forward to working with the staff of the Hotel to promote our good relationship and to develop our business links whilst at the same time providing good offers for the GAA community in general."

Seamus continued "Several new initiatives are planned and begin this weekend with a half time draw in the match programme for Overnight Hotel accommodation for two people at either the Canal Court or the Carrickdale. A new pre match menu has been created by the hotel with a special offer for patrons wishing to attend the game. Our message to GAA followers everywhere is that if you are coming to a game in Pairc Esler there is only one place to eat and one place to stay and that is the Canal Court Hotel."

"We look forward to a good year for Down in football and hurling on the field and we know that we have all the right backing in place off the field to ensure that no stone is left unturned in the quest for silverware. On behalf of all the gaels of Down I wish James and Gerard and all of our team managements and players every success in 2013 and beyond and I look forward to hosting many celebrations here in the Canal Court Hotel and Spa."
