Craobh Rua seniors recorded a well deserved victory over Carrickmacross last week by a 1-13 to 1-11 scoreline. Conor McKevitts goal was a key factor in the win. There were also good scores from Ryan Diamond, Fiachra Bradley, Michael Doran, Sean Watters, Paddy Garvey, Conan Brannigan and Pól Cunningham.
Ulster GAA Féile Blitz
Our U14 team were unlucky to fall to Bríd Óg Of Antrim on the Ulster Féile Blitz Final. The day of underage hurling took place in Belfast and the young Craobh Rua hurlers performed admirably playing sine excellent hurling throughout. On their way to the final try defeated Bríd Og (Antrim), Tulach Og (Tyrone), Eoghan Rua (Derry) and St John’s (Antrim). They then met Bríd Og again in the final who unfortunately turned the tables on us. All in all though it was a great day spent hurling in the sun and plenty of improvements made. Míle buíochas to all who helped organise the event and ensuring our panel of hurlers had a good day of competition and fun. This Monday night (11th June) our U14 team are at home to Sean Treacy's Lurgan.
Successful Underage Sponsored Walk
An Coiste Craobh Rua would like to thank all who participated in our annual Underage fund raising walk and barbecue. We had a lovely evening for the Walk through Derramore Forest and the refreshments afterwards helped cap what was a fun filled healthy family event. Thanks once again to all who raised much needed funds for our Hurling Club. We would also like to place on record our gratitude to all those who wee involved in organising the Walk and Barbecue.
Under 21
Our Under 21 team will play in the Armagh Shield Final on the 26th Of June.
Richard Hughes Hurling Blitz
The annual Richard Hughes U8 & U10 Hurling Blitz will take place on Sunday the 22nd of July.
Cúl Camp
Our annual Cúl Camp will take place from Monday 23rd July - Fri 27th July 10am - 2pm.
All participants will have a full week of fun packed activities.
This camp is for both boys & girls aged 6-13 years. You will also receive a FREE Jersey, Half Zip & Rucksack.
Please register online to ensure your child receives their kit on the first day of camp.

The cost of the camp is £45, there is concessions for families.
