Write a commentSuccessful Under Age Hurling Blitz
Twenty teams and over 175 kids played out almost 60 games in 2 hours of hurling in our annual Richard Hughes Memorial U8 and 10 Hurling Blitz which took place recently. The large attendance at the event and enjoyed the hurling efforts and skills of all on show in what was the largest blitz we have hosted.
Great thanks must go to all our coaches and in particular Joe Mc Eldowney and John Kelly who worked hard to organise and see that the event ran smoothly and to senior players for helping with refereeing duties. Míle buíochas also to all those parents who helped with making and serving teas, coffees and sandwiches and to all visiting teams, their mentors and supporters.
We were delighted to have members of the Hughes family along as guests for the event. Their presence was appreciated by all.
