Ulster Junior Hurling Championship
Craobh Rua Camlocha 3-9 Monaghan Harps 0-10
Craobh Rua Camlocha, Armagh Junior Hurling Champions progressed into the Ulster Club Championship semi final with a gritty victory over Monaghan Harps in Crossmaglen. Three second half goals by Miceal Bradley, Kyle Kane and Fionnán Burns, decide the game after Monaghan Harps finished the first half with an 0-8 to 0-5 lead. The young Craobh Rua side seemed to be struggling with a bigger more physical Monaghan side but a determined effort from all ensured that the Armagh Champions would take their place in the semi final. Young Kyle Kane showed great speed and talent, whilst the experienced Eoghan Robb proved a steadying influence on his side with some wonderful points from play and frees. Goalkeeper Ryan Lundy took of two vital first half saves that kept his Craobh Rua side in the hunt and Mark Fleming again held his full back line together well. Paul Cunningham, Patrick O Connor, Ryan Lewis, Fiachra Bradley and Michéal Doran also showed great skills and determination. Speaking after the game team Captain Michael Garvey praised the efforts of all saying that it was a fine team display and all involved contributed to their win.
