Annual General Meeting
A large attendance at the recent Craobh Rua Hurling Club AGM were told by Club Chairperson Laurence Bradley that there was reason for optimism for the future within the Club, and that this was due to the hard work, commitment and support of the Club members, coaches, players and all sponsors.
The Annual General Meeting observed a minutes silence to remember past members and friends. Special mention was made of Club Trustee Séan Byrne. Chairperson Laurence Bradley also spoke of the sad passing of Press Photographer Mickey O Rourke.
Thanks were also expressed to local Clubs and Schools for their help and support during the past year, something which the Chairperson had said was essential to the sustainability of the Club and the continued development game of hurling in the area.

Laurence who was returned to his role as Cathaorleach for 2019 thanked everyone for their continued support. He praised the work of outgoing Secretary Henry McCloy who stood down from the position and said that his professionalism, diligence, and commitment was a shinning example to all involved with Craobh Rua. Pat McGinn, a founder member of Craobh Rua was elected as Rúnaí for 2019. Peter O Hanlon remained as Cisteóir with Cathal McGinn his able leas-Chisteóir.
Patricia Nutley remains in the important position as Club Children’s Officer and David O Brien was appointed as Registrar.
Craobh Rua have been endeavouring to encourage the practical learning and use of the Irish Language and Dónal McCaul will continue to lead on this in his role as Oifigeach na Gaeilge, whilst Fiachra Bradley remains at the helm of Coaching within the Club. Eamon McCann takes up the mantle of Health & Well Being Club Officer.

‘Step Up To Your Potential’
This programme offers boys from P7 to 2nd Year the opportunity to learn about and develop their athletic potential in a fun based way in our brand new Club gym.
The sessions are from 6.30 - 7.30pm every Thursday.
The cost is £2 per session

Ranganna Gaeilge
Monday Night Irish Language Classes 7pm. A programme has been put together which will help promote the language through the medium of coaching. All Club members/coaches along with anyone with an interest in learning Irish is welcome. Fáilte roimh chách
