Craobh Rua Camlocha Hurling Club last week hosted their underage presentations celebrating their years achievements.
Guest speaker, Padraig Mallon described the night as a "night of celebration and recognition of the contributions of all the underage teams and their mentors".
Padraig recently nominated for an International Swimming Man of the Year Award and who earlier this year swam the English Channel and the north Channel from Ireland to Scotland in the space of six weeks, congratulated his local hurling Club Craobh Rua on the wonderful efforts the club had made at all levels this year to develop hurling and in particular their work with young people.
Also at the Presentation Night was Quays Newry representative Colin Kavanagh who told all present that the Quays were proud to be associated with the local community and Craobh Rua. Colin, on behalf of all at The Quays Newry who support a wide range of community initiatives, wished the club well for the future.
Craobh Rua Camlocha would like to thank all our underage hurlers, their mentors and their families for their commitment to our club and the game of hurling.
Congratulations to Roisin Quigley who won the prize of £100 in our Monthly Draw. Many thanks also to all those who helped in last weekends bag pack in Newry and indeed to all those who have supported our club fund raising initiatives.
