Defibrillators for Newry Sports Clubs

Sport NI have distributed 115 defibrillators to sports clubs across the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area. 

Sports Clubs had applied for them through a programme called ‘Defibrillators for sport’.  

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick said  “I was very impressed with the turn out from Clubs who applied for these lifesaving machines”. 

Councillor Fitzpatrick continued, “On behalf of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council I would like to thank Conleth Donnelly from Sport NI and Sport NI for their part in the important programme”.
