Ulster Colleges GAA tonight made the draw for the Semi Finals of the Danske Bank MacRory Cup and it leaves open the thrilling prospect of an all local MacRory Cup Final, although making it to the finals will be hard work for St Colman's in Newry and St Paul's in Bessbrook.
St Colman's have been drawn against St Patrick's, Maghera while St Paul's will play the winners of the St Patricks Dungannon/ St Macartans, Monaghan game.
St Paul's Manager John Rafferty said his team gave everything last night in their first ever MacRory Cup Quarter final.
Praising his team John in an interview with Jerome Quinn pointed out that St Pauls was a non selective school, and that St Paul's perhaps in theory pick up what the other grammar schools in Newry leave behind.
The last time two local teams were in the Final was way back in 1987 when St Colman's took on the Abbey CBS.
