The GAA have suspended all events until 29 March in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement a spokesperson said "In light of this morning’s Government announcement, the GAA, An Cumann Camógaíochta and the Ladies Gaelic Football Association have decided to suspend all activity at club, county and educational levels until March 29 (inclusive) from midnight."

Several local clubs have already issued notification of their intention to close and the rest are expected to follow.

Notifications already announced include Newry Bosco, Shane O'Neiil's, Lissummon, Newry Shamrocks and Crossmaglen Rangers.

Locally it will affect the Armagh v Roscommon and Down v Leitrim National Football League fixtures, Armagh v Cavan and Down v Laois Ladies Football fixture, as well as hurling and the Schools Macrory Cup Final between St Colman's and St PAtrick's Maghera.
