Have you got the Grit for Gullion?

Sunday the second of November sees the popular King of Gullion 10k Challenge back for its second year.  Following from the success of last year’s event, this year’s race promises to be bigger and better than before!

Starting at 12 Midday, the King of Gullion 10k Challenge is a chipped race from Slieve Gullion Courtyard around mountain roads and trails where participants can enjoy the spectacular scenery in the Ring of Gullion before finishing again at the Courtyard.  There are fantastic prizes up for grabs for the winners, and all race participants will be treated to a technical T-shirt, finisher’s medal and Goodie Bag. Finally Grounded Slieve Gullion will be offering tasty refreshments to all race participants post run!  The race is suitable for all levels of runner – so why not challenge yourself and try something new?

Families are also welcome to come along, to enjoy some fun activities for Halloween Half Term weekend.  A Family Walk will take place starting just after the runners take off (£8 per family), and Over the Bridge Arts will be popping along to host free, fun art workshops for the children.  Of course there is also an award-winning Adventure Playground onsite.  At the King of Gullion there will be something for everyone on the day, all in aid of Southern Area Hospice Services.
