Newry ACs resident warrior, Cathal McGreevy took on the 15km race challenge held at Strandhill, Sligo.
Cathal powered his way round the gruelling 15km road and hill race. The route took the runners from beachfront to the top of Knocknarea Mountain and back. Six kilometres of the course is through fields, loose gravel, unsurfaced and heather paths with a 700ft climb and daunting downhill return.
On their return the tired runners were greeted and encouraged over the line with a festival of live music and street entertainment.
