AGM
The club’s AGM will take place on Sunday 20th January in the clubhouse. This is undoubtedly the most important meeting of the year and we are asking all current and past members, players (past and present), parents of our underage footballers and anyone else with a genuine interest in the club to come along. 2019 promises to be any busy year for the club and we are encouraging everyone to get on board to help make it a successful one.
Cookies with Santa
The club had a brilliant Cookies with Santa in the clubhouse on Sunday. As the adults enjoyed some lovely home-baking the kids spent time telling Santa what they wanted for Christmas. The club would like to thank all those who helped to make the morning a great success.
Well Done
Well done to our senior footballers Connaire Mackin and Greg McCabe who were both part of the Armagh team which defeated St Mary’s on Sunday in the McKenna Cup. Well done also to Abbie McVerry and Rachel McCabe who have both been selected to represent Armagh U14 Ladies in 2019.

Armagh GAA Club Draw
The very successful Armagh GAA Club draw is running again in 2019. The draw takes place over 4 months -March, April, May and June - with 16 prizes on offer each month. The first prize each month is a Renault Clio, right down to a 16th prize of £200.
Tickets are priced at £100 each with £80 from every ticket going directly to the club after we reach our minimum target of sales. They can be bought by paying the £100 up front or 4 monthly instalments of £25 per month.
Tickets can be purchased from any of our committee members and the more tickets we sell, the more money the club raises. We are encouraging all our club members, families and friends to purchase a ticket either individually or maybe as a group of 4 friends or family members clubbing together at £25 each.
It is brilliant opportunity to raise much needed funds for the club whilst also being in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.
Club Merchandise
A full range of club merchandise is now available to buy from the O’Neill’s website – www.oneills.com
Lotto
Last week’s winning lotto numbers were 4, 16, 17 & 23. There were no jackpot winners and 3 x match three winners. The jackpot now stands at £2,750.
Condolences
Everyone at the club would like to offer their sympathy to the family of John O’Reilly who has passed away. John was grandfather to our senior ladies footballer Ellen Hannaway. Throughout his life John was a tremendous Gael which saw him serve as Chairman of both the Armagh County Board and the Ulster Council. May he rest in peace.
Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year
On behalf of the committee of Shane O’Neill’s I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with the club a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year – to all those who sponsored the club in any way this year, to all those who contributed in any way to the successful running of the club, to all the local papers, websites and photographers who continued to promote our club, to everyone who bought lotto tickets and those all who helped with our fundraising efforts throughout the year, to all our Cairde members, to all our players (senior and underage) and their families and to anyone else involved with the club in any way.
