Our senior men travelled to Ballymartin on Friday night for their second challenge game in as many weeks. Played in in terrible weather conditions the lads put in another decent performance with all players getting some game time. Training continues as normal this week.
Minor Boys
There will be a meeting for our minor boys in the clubhouse on Monday night, 4th March at 6.45pm and all boys eligible to play minor football are asked to attend.
U16½ Girls
Well done to the U16½ girls who defeated Burren in a challenge game last week on a score-line of 7 - 11 to 3 – 14.
U12 Boys
Our U12 boys had the challenge game of the year away to Correnshigo on Saturday. It was a good start to the season for the lads trading scores with their opponents throughout the game. The U12s are looking for more challenge games over the coming weeks and if any clubs are interested please contact Damien Beattie on 07733 405769.
Club Membership for 2019
The membership rates for 2019 have been set as follows:
Full Adult membership: £50.00Juvenile membership: (U8’s – Minors): £30.00Family Membership (2 Adults & Children U16): £100.00Students & OAP’s: £40.00Cairde Members: £25.00U6’s: £10.00
The club will be holding a number of registration events over the coming weeks to give everyone an opportunity to register to become a member of the club. All membership must be paid before 31st March 2019.
Movie Night
The club is hosting a night at the movies for our underage members this coming Friday, 8th of March @ 7.00pm in the Shane’s clubhouse. The children will get party bags with sweets and popcorn on the night and the entry cost will be £5 per child. They can wear their pjs if they wish and are encouraged bring blankets, cushions or beanbags to sit on.

Armagh GAA Club Draw
The very successful Armagh GAA Club draw is running again in 2019. The draw takes place over 4 months - March, April, May and June - with 16 prizes on offer each month. The first prize each month is a Renault Clio, right down to a 16th prize of £200.
Tickets are priced at £100 each with £80 from every ticket going directly to the club after we reach our minimum target of sales. They can be bought by paying the £100 up front or 4 monthly instalments of £25 per month.
Tickets can be purchased from any of our committee members and the more tickets we sell, the more money the club raises. We are encouraging all our club members, families and friends to purchase a ticket either individually or maybe as a group of 4 friends or family members clubbing together at £25 each.
It is brilliant opportunity to raise much needed funds for the club whilst also being in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.
Anyone with any sold tickets is asked to bring them to the club on Monday night from 8.30pm onwards.
Kit Bags for Sale
The club have a number of kit bags for sale at a price of £15.00 each (usually £25.00 each). They can be purchased in the club on Monday from 8.30pm on a first come, first served basis.
Lotto
Last week’s winning lotto numbers were 9, 14, 18 & 31. There were no jackpot winners and 2 x match three winners. The lotto jackpot is slowly, but surely creeping up again and now stands at £3,200.
Club Volunteers
The club is always on the lookout for new volunteers, whatever your skills. Maybe you’ve got time on your hands and fancy doing something different, maybe you’re new to the area and are looking to play a part in the community, perhaps your children or grandchildren are players at the club and you’d like to get involved. Whatever your reasons our doors are always open to new members and new ideas whether it be working with our underage teams, helping with fundraising, washing strips, cleaning, upkeep of the grounds, selling lotto, recruitment, club development, lining out the pitch, doing the gate and a host of other tasks. You can be part of Shane O’Neill’s in so many ways, and you can give as much or as little time as suits you – so why not come along a get involved.
Condolences
The club would like to offer their sympathies to the family Dearbhla Twomey, from Enniskeane Co Cork who passed away recently. Dearbhla was the niece of our good friends and club members Pauline and Peter Lynch, and Christina and Paul McMenamin. Dearbhla was also first cousin to Declan and Kieran Lynch, and Hannah and Caroline McMenamin. Sympathies also to the family of Pat McAllister who has passed away last week. Pat was the grandfather of our senior ladies manager Stephen Mooney. May both Dearbhla and Pat rest in peace.
