St Killian's GAC Celebrate a Year of Achievements

St Killian’s GAC hosted its annual presentation night at the Canal Court Hotel at the weekend. It has been a busy year for the Whitecross club and they had much to celebrate. Their All-Ireland Scór musicians gave a performance before the awards ceremony and Vice Chair Caroline McKeown acknowledged  the club's achievements across Scór, handball and football.

Guests were delighted with an appearance from Sam Maguire. Special presentations were also made to the Club’s Armagh All Ireland Champion, Mark Shields by Club President Sean Reavey and Claire Shields for her contribution to the County, by Children’s Officer Una Markey.

2025 Chairman Kieran Shields congratulated award winners for their hard work and dedication and thanked the club committee, coaches, volunteers and members for their ongoing support. He concluded by wishing everyone continued success for the season ahead.

• Scór na nÓg instrumental group, Armagh County Champions, Ulster Champions and All-Ireland finalists - Martha and Felix McKeown, Niamh and Annie McVerry and Manus Sherry, presented by Club Cultural Officer Anthony Reavey and Philip McGovern, Armagh Scór Secretary.
• Rosemary Ferris Memorial Trophy for Young Personality of the Year - Fíachra Ó Dúill, for outstanding success in handball, presented by Kieran Shields, Club Chairman.
• Special Recognition Award - the Doyle family for making history in their achievements in handball, James, Máighréad, Cailíosa and Fíachra, presented by Vice Chair Barry McKeown.
• Special Recognition Award - Ruby Murphy, Ulster and All Ireland Championship winner and U16 Most Improved Player of the Year with Armagh County, presented by Claire Shields, Assistant Secretary.
• U21 Player of the Year - Kian Rigley presented by Barry Shields, Manager.
• Senior Ladies, Division 4 League Shield and Medals, presented by Paula McKeown Club LGFA Secretary.
• Senior Ladies Most Improved Player of the Year – Jolene O’Hanlon presented by Raymie O’Rourke, Manager.
• Senior Ladies Player of the Year – Amy O’Rourke presented by Raymie O’Rourke, Manager.
• Senior men were presented medals for their promotion from Division 2B to Division 2A by Cathal Reavey, from the men’s management team.
• Young Senior Player of the Year – Adam Reavey, presented by Phelim McGuinness, Manager.
• Reavey Brothers Memorial Trophy for Senior Player of the Year – Joe Starkey, presented by Seamus Reavey.

The Senior men’s team were presented medals for their promotion from Division 2B to Division 2A

Una Markey, Club Children’s Officer made a presentation to Claire Shields, Club Assistant Secretary for the contribution she makes to Armagh County behind the scenes.

Special Recognition Award - the Doyle family for achievements in handball, Máighréad, Fíachra, Vice Chair Barry McKeown, James and Cailíosa.

Club Secretary Eileen McCann made a presentation to outgoing Chairman, Terry O’Hanlon for five years of dedicated service.

Club President Sean Reavey, presented a tribute to Mark Shields in recognition of achieving his All Ireland Champion Medal, accepted by his father John Shields.

Senior Ladies Most Improved Player of the Year – Jolene O’Hanlon Presented by Raymie O’Rourke, Manager.
