Abstract art blends with figures in several of his works with one painting "Within but not Troubled by Affairs of the World" showing a central figure immerged in strips of colourful chaos from dark to bright.

Using mixed media mostly on canvas but also smaller panels Patrick uses everything from car paint to oils or whatever is to hand, with many paintings illustrated liberally with splashes or streaks of colour to illustrate the mood he's  conveying.

Born in 1959 Patrick has also published several books including paperback "Between the Hills" in 2008.

Patrick explains the exhibition as varied in mood. "The exhibition covers a range of emotions and is an exploration into what it is being a human. A range of emotions, emotions that I feel and that others might identify with because they feel them as well."
