Write a commentNewry's very own John Dalzell MBE completed his 27th Annual Christmas Sit Out on Hill Street Newry in December 2018 and succeeded in raising the amazing sum of £78K.
John called at the Southern Area Hospice in Newry last week and presented them with a cheque for £78,090.03.
John, who turned 77 this year sat out on Hill Street Newry in his trailer for 10 days on the run up to Christmas. His team also collected throughout Newry at other locations such as Fiveways,The Quays and B&Q Newry.
John is a great ambassador for the Southern Area Hospice and has raised over £1.6 million to date for their services.
He has plans to continue his efforts as long as he feels fit and able to do so.
