Just to remind anyone feeling the weight of loneliness this Christmas, A Bite n Banter for Christmas takes place today at Newry Gateway Club 20 Kilmorey Street, Newry. You will be guaranteed warmth, community, and joy. Taking place from 1pm the event promises a delicious Christmas dinner, lively music, plenty of laughs, and a special visit from Santa and it's all free of charge.
Now in its tenth year, this incredible community initiative ensures no one in Newry has to spend the day alone. If you’d like to help, why not prepare an extra plate of dinner (without gravy) and drop it off at the door from 12 noon. Every meal contributes to making the day brighter for someone in need.
Whether you come to have a meal or donate a meal, A Bite n Banter reminds us that Christmas is about connection, kindness, and the light we can bring to others. Let’s ensure no one spends the day without a friendly face or festive cheer.
