Today Christmas Day, Guru Indian Cuisine on Kildare Street, Newry, is once again opening its doors to serve a free hot takeaway meal to anyone in need. From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, the restaurant will offer a warm meal as a gesture of kindness, no questions asked.
Owner Gourav Barot and his dedicated team are committed to ensuring no one goes without on this special day. “This tradition is our way of giving back to the community that supports us all year round,” Gourav shared. “We want everyone to feel cared for this Christmas.”
Last year, around 80 people received meals, and with continued support from local businesses, the initiative hopes to touch more lives this year.
