Well known Newry Freelance Photographer Peter Clarke is a man with a mission.
He plans to raise two thousand pounds for the Southern Area Hospice by running the London Marathon in 2014 - Sunday the 13th of April to be precise.
Peter wasn't always the "energetic" type, taking up running just over three months ago on the 13th of July when he began running to help out work colleague Dermot Mathers at the start of Dermot's running programme.
Fortunately Peter didn't realise where this was all going at the time and admits he "Didn't realise how additive running was" and is benefiting from the added health and well-being benefits.
In a short few months he has run Newry Triathlon 5k, Newry Oktoberfest 5k, PIPS Newry and Mourne 10k, Causeway Coast 13.1 Miles and the Run for Autism 13.1 Miles.
Deciding to raise money for the Hospice was easy as he realises what a fantastic service they provide for the people of Newry and Mourne and much further afield and knows that the Hospice needs over 2 Million a year to run, some of which he hopes to contribute!
Peter is embarking on a Facebook fun photo campaign to encourage people to donate, finding himself in various "strange" locations or should that be bodies!
He adds "Even a donation of a pound would go a long way to help me reach my target"
