Forty exhibitors displayed their wares at yesterdays ReNew Sustainable Living Fair in Newry Sports Centre. They included stands with electric cars, local farm produce, solar and boiler information, car sharing as well as a bicycle operated smoothie maker.
On his way around the event the Mayor of Newry and Mourne District Council Councillor Michael Ruane commented “We can all make a difference to our environmental performance and save money too. Having so many environmental experts under the one roof was an ideal opportunity to learn what organisations can help us do just that. Congratulations to everyone involved in putting this event together”
The fair was part of a week long programme of events under the theme of “ReNewry Sustainable Living Region” and brought together forty exhibitors providing advice on issues from renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable transport to local food.
