A charity auction held at the Crossan Motorcycles 40th anniversary celebration in the Canal Court Hotel in Newry has raised £2,000 for Evora Hospice. Hundreds attended the evening with stars of the motorcycling world taking centre stage.

The auction was for a replica of the helmet worn by 15-time World Champion Giacomo Agostini, who was a special guest at the event. Agostini personally signed the helmet for the winning bidder, Tommy Maxwell of Maxwell Freight, Antrim.
The cheque for £2,000 was subsequently presented to Alison Donaghy from Evora Hospice.
