The Online Consultation survey on the proposed Albert Basin Public Park closes tomorrow so if you haven't already completed the questionaire please do so tonight or before 12 noon tomorrow 17 July.
Newry being the only city in Ireland without a park makes it all the more important that you have your say. A unique, vibrant, bustling park will provide an essential facility in our city, increasing our residents health, attracting visitors and will be a catalyst in the ongoing rejuvination of Newry.
The Albert Basin Park Campaign has been championed by local lobbying group Newry 2020 through their Albert Basin Park Project, with the assistance and support of nearly 90 local organisations. Council agreed to the provision of the 15 acre park in 2017 and it is part of the current Newry, Mourne and Down Council Corporate Plan to be delivered by 2023.
Now it is time for YOU to get your voice heard and tell our local council what you want to see in Newry's game changing park.
