Almost £6000 has been raised in a Go Fund Me campaign to raise money for Newry man Mark Pearce whose home at Damolly was seriously damaged in a fire on Sunday evening.
Well known for his Newry Un's social media pages, Mark is a regular promoter of all things Newry, whether quirky or historic or something completely different, and he can be seen out and about daily with his dog Max on bicycle or on foot.
Mark arrived home to his house on Sunday to find fire crew in attendance dealing with the blaze and it's not know when his house will be habitable again.
Since Sunday accommodation has been found for them in Warrenpoint and he has taken to his social channels to express his gratitude for all the help and support he has received from the ordinary Newry public as well as local businesses and organisations.
