A Newcastle man who has built a reputation for creating joyful, inclusive dance spaces will bring his award-winning Barry’s Beats to Newry Arts Festival this weekend. Barry's Beats is a club night by and for people with autism or learning difficulties.
The Barry’s Beats Neurodiverse Disco takes place this Saturday in Sticky Fingers, Edward Street, Newry at 5pm.
Barry Smyth, who recently received The People’s Award at the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards, has become well known across the district for his monthly disco nights that are designed to be welcoming, accessible and full of energy for all.
