Write a commentStudents Nuala Quinn and Carol Murphy from Southern Regional College have won a best student award in the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award in Education and Training, for their exemplar teaching materials.
The students both undertook the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award in Education and Training at SRC, Newry Campus. They studied various modules including Understanding Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training; Understanding and Using Inclusive Approaches in Education and Training; Understanding Assessment and Micro Teaching Practice.
Both students remarked that “the course was hard work, but when you see as a tutor the light of understanding suddenly appear in the face of your first student, it makes everything worthwhile”. “Not only did we discover a flair for teaching but it also increased our self confidence”.
