A short booklet on the Young Ireland patriot, Thomas Davis has been launched.

The booklet published by Craobh an Iúir de Chomhaltas Uladh, is available at the Currency Exchange 12 Hill Street Newry, and from Gaelic League teachers in the town.
October 2014 marked the bicentenary of Davis' birth and, given the fact that the Thomas Davis Club CLG at Corrinshego and the famous Thomas Davis Memorial Pipe Band, were named in honour of Davis, and indeed that a street in the town bears his name, the Newry Branch of the Gaelic League decided not to let the bicentenary pass virtually unnoticed.
The Branch was assisted in drawing the publication together by members of the now sadly disbanded Thomas Davis Band, and by the vibrant Cumann Thomás Dáibhis CLG.
