Write a commentAs part of their Personal Development course, Year 12 pupils at St Joseph's Boys High School have taken part in a series of workshops with representatives from Newry Rainbow Community on the theme of sexuality and important related LGB & T issues.
Rory Rafferty, Damian McKevitt and Michael Gray-Sloan led the interactive sessions over three days and helped pupils to positively engage with sensitive and pertinent issues regarding sexual identity and emotional well-being.
Mr Brendan Fearon (PD Coordinator) sincerely thanked the guest speakers for being involved with such an important project, adding ‘St Joseph’s is proud to have such a proactive pastoral support programme that enables our pupils to feel supported, valued and respected within a caring and nurturing environment.
