Write a commentA Translink bus has had it’s window smashed by a rock on it’s way to Dublin Airport this afternoon. The incident occurred while it was driving along Buttercrane Quay.
An eyewitness who didn’t wish to be named witnessed a group of around 6 teenagers both boys and girls across the canal in the area the rock was thrown from.
The double glazed window only smashed on the outside with the eyewitness noting there was an elderly lady seated at the window at the time who was remarkably lucky not to have been badly injured. Others on the bus were shocked by the ordeal.
The Driver returned to base to change the bus leaving the passengers shaken and half an hour late on their trip.
