Breast Mates Newry support group celebrated International Women's Day in style yesterday, 9 March with a gala lunch at the Canal Court Hotel. Over 250 women attended the event and it was a perfect chance to catch up, chill out and enjoy a few hours of entertainment.
The event was all about celebrating ladies who have been, or are currently going through treatment for breast cancer.
Compere on the day was the one and only Lianne McCooey who introduced speakers Deborah McAleese and Barbara McCann, UTV health corespondents and Eimear McGeough, Breast Care Nurse specialist at the Glenanne Unit at Craigavon Hospital.
