Evora Hospice is calling on women from across the Newry area to sign up for this year's Vhi Women's Mini Marathon and take part as members of Team Hospice in one of Ireland's most recognised sporting events.
The 10K event takes place in Dublin on Sunday 1 June 2026 and is the largest all-women's event of its kind in the world. Open to women aged 14 and over, the Mini Marathon welcomes participants from all backgrounds and abilities, from first-time participants to seasoned runners, with women able to choose whether they run, jog or walk the route.
This year marks the 22nd time Evora Hospice has taken part in the event, with the hospice now looking to build its team for what it hopes will be another memorable occasion. All funds raised will go towards supporting the specialist palliative care services that Evora Hospice provides to patients and families across the local area.
The registration fee is £35, which covers race entry, return transport to and from Dublin, an official Team Hospice t-shirt and a goody bag. Those who sign up are asked to commit to raising a minimum of £170 in sponsorship.
