An application for planning permission has been made for a Glamping Site on the shores of Camlough Lake.
Glamping is becoming increasingly popular especially with an increase in enjoyment of cycling and walking in the great outdoors and a Government request for us all to stay locally this year due to Covid-19.
The application for development at Newton Road, Camlough has been made by Karl Toner and is for the erection of a glamping site, comprising of camping pods, tepees, tent pitches, communal toilet and shower building as well as a communal 'camper's hub' building with tea room/cafe.
A Campers lounge and communal hub will include a self catering kitchen, coffee bar, office and reception area. Facilities for cars and the safe parking of bicycles will also be on site.
