Another important stage in the implementation of the Public Realm Scheme involving the Newry Canal takes place From today, when essential Site Investigation Works will be taking place along Buttercrane Quay and Merchants Quay.
The level of Newry Canal will be temporarily lowered by approximately 450mm to facilitate the work, between Monday 24th June 2013 and Sunday 30th June 2013.
Further consultation will take place on the details of the schemes implementation with Traders and the general public having an opportunity via a drop-in evening, to discuss in detail with the appointed Contractor the phasing of the works.
