The Newry Inner City Greenway early engagement event is taking place today at Newry Leisure Centre and you can call in any time up until 7pm.
Members of the public are invited to call by to hear what the project is about and the importance of it and to give their views on potential route etc. The greenway is one of the Department for Infrastructure's signature Active Travel projects and will be a game-changer for Newry connecting as it will the Newry Canal Towpath with the Carlingford Lough Greenway and giving users of the route an easy way in to the city to explore.
The objectives of the greenway are to enhance the Newry environment, increase connectivity, inclusivity - A facility for all and to improve health and well being.
