On Sunday hundreds of children took over Hill Street in Newry as part of a publicity video to promote the upcoming Small Size Big Festival that takes place in the city early in February.
The Sticky Fingers, Small Size Big Festival has been described as one of the most exciting and ambitious children’s projects ever hosted on the island of Ireland.
Sticky Fingers, Children’s Arts Organisation and partner funders will be welcoming more than 300 delegates from across Europe and beyond to Newry from the 6th to the 9th of February for the close of the Small size, big citizen project which has been running for five years across Europe. Guests will include senior politicians from the European Union.
Newry was chosen from amongst bids by Spain and Hungary to host this conference and Sticky Fingers will be running a programme of events for children and families in venues across Newry which will be open to the public and observed by the delegates.
The festival should attract in the regional of 10,000 visitors to the area.
