Children are being invited to experience the magic of Christmas at Newry and Mourne Museum throughout November and December with a programme of festive activities and exhibitions.
The Museum is hosting hands-on Christmas arts and crafts workshops offering children the chance to unleash their creativity with fun and festive crafts, a wonderful way to create personalised decorations and gifts.
The workshops take place on Saturday 29 November and Saturday 6 December, with morning sessions running from 10.30am to 12pm and afternoon sessions from 1.30pm to 3pm. The workshops are appropriate for children aged 5 to 11 years and cost just £2 per child.
Spaces are limited and pre-booking is highly advised to secure a spot. Children should come dressed for mess and an adult must accompany all attendees.
The Christmas Exhibition has also returned to the museum, inviting visitors to take a magical journey through time as they visit and play with a wonderful collection of toys from the past, present and around the world. The exhibition is open until 6 January.
Families can also keep the adventure going with the museum's popular trail, which now features fantastic new sound effects that will guide children throughout the entire museum.
