Write a commentNewry, Mourne and Down Council are looking to commission a consultant to conduct a review of existing Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in Newry, Mourne and Down and Ards and North Down Borough Council. The consultant will also be required to review the future AONB management structures.
The tender will involve reviewing the Ring of Gullion AONB, Strangford Lough and Lecale AONB management structures and approaches employed by NMDDC and ANDBC, and the partnership mechanism between Mourne Heritage Trust (MHT) and NMDDC for management of the Mourne AONB; and to develop recommendations for management structures for same.
Describing the assignment the tender documentation states "This assignment will consist of desk based research; face to face and e-consultation; workshop sessions; and a final report to include executive summary. A full list of stakeholders will be provided at appointment."
